The new unisex fragrance enhances a luxurious collection for travellers and trailblazers. Joining Exotic Musk, Majestic Cashmere and Wild Vetiver, Rich Pimento is the fourth and latest addition to the Bentley Beyond range.

Created in collaboration with the Bentley Styling Team the majestic faceted flacon of the Bentley Beyond range is inspired by the signature cut-crystal glass headlights of the Continental GT. The stability of the heavy 400-gram bottle is ensured by a thick glass base. The legendary Bentley emblem is engraved on the silver metal shoulders of the flacon.

Don’t Come Back From the Moon

Don’t Come Back from the Moon premiers on January 18th at select theaters including LA’s theaters. This movie starring James Franco, and Rashida Jones deals with the emotional damage that fathers leave behind after abandoning their families in a remote California desert town. James Franco originally brought the idea to director Bruce Thierry Cheung while they were working on another project together in Mississippi. The film is based on the book by Dean Bakopoulos titled “Don’t come back from the moon.” In order to bring the story to life location and visual scenery were very important to the crew. The film’s cinematography captures the desert scenery with dramatic shots of the harsh but beautiful landscape. It reflects the beauty and harsh reality of life in the small town after the factory that employed most of the men shuts down and the place turns into more of a ghost town. One of the main characters is a boy whose father abandons him and his older brother narrates life in the desert from the beginning of the movie giving the viewer a unique perspective on the situation from a young boy’s eyes. He says, “after all the men left, the boys became men.” One by one, every father in the town leaves, and after a while the boys in the town coin the phrase “going to the moon” to describe their fathers’ abandonment. The film will take you on an emotional ride through the lives of teenagers growing up without fathers and shows the odd paradoxes that come up when they are forced to grow up before they’re ready. One minute the kids will be sword fighting in the dust, the next they’re taking care of their moms and siblings. There is also a little bit of romance throughout the film as the main character Mickey and the girl next door Tanya try to navigate growing up. They approach romance with a cautious practicality but in the end there is a surprise twist that will leave you questioning several things in the film. In one emotional scene Mickey finally tires of living in the state of limbo the town seems to be caught in waiting for his father and the other men to return. He starts gutting his house instead of keeping it how his father left it and throws all the memories he can find of his dad away.

The scenery in the film is really part of the story as much as the characters. Cheung says he fell in love with the town of Bombay beach where the film is set and shared, “Salton Sea also has the most amazing sunsets. Jaeh (the cinematographer) and I decide to film as much as possible during magic hour.” The film is mostly full of scenes taking place at sunset with only a few scenes in the harsh desert sunlight throughout the movie. The director decided he wanted to work with locals from the town in the film because each of them had interesting stories of their own. He said, “We shot the film for 17 days in Bombay Beach. We cast the film with a lot of non-actors and locals who live in the area. I try to do as much improvisation as possible to find spontaneous real behavior.” And shared stories of the locals he met during the project including Shirley, who used to be a hitchhiker and Paul Anthony who lives in a school bus and drives a 1962 muscle car.

This film also won several awards including the Winner – Special Jury Award in Directing, Los Angeles Film Festival, Winner – James Lyons Award for Best Editing, Woodstock Film Festival, Winner – Special Mention for Best Feature, Woodstock Film Festival, Winner – Best Narrative Feature, Southampton Film Festival, Winner – Best Cinematography, Southampton Film Festival. It will definitely play at your emotions and is definitely an interesting project that incorporates the real people of the town into a raw and relatable story. British Fashion Council Celebrates the Launch of BFC/GQ Designer Menswear Fund supported by JD.com Inc.

The British Fashion Council (BFC) is delighted to announce the launch of the 2019 BFC/GQ Designer Menswear Fund supported by JD.com Inc, a £150,000 cash prize with 12 months high-level mentoring to accelerate the winner’s business and grow its global reputation. Caroline Rush, CEO British Fashion Council and Dylan Jones, Chair of Menswear and Editor in Chief of British GQ hosted a reception at Annabel’s Private Member’s Club to celebrate the re-start of this incredibly important menswear fund and to officially open applications.

Leading Chinese company JD.com Inc. generously supports the BFC/GQ Menswear Fund as part of a two-year sponsorship deal that was announced in September 2018 as part of the BFC’s China Partnerships Strategy 2018-2020. With China being the world’s second largest consumer and luxury market and an increased interest from Chinese consumers for British designers, the partnership allows the BFC to help design talent better engage with the Chinese market as part of the fund’s mentoring programme and JD.com’s goal to expand its global fashion presence and bring more British brands to China.

The BFC/GQ Designer Menswear Fund supported by JD.com Inc. is the UK’s biggest menswear prize for emerging talent. The shortlisted designers will be chosen according to their potential to develop into a global designer brand and to benefit from the level of support the Fund offers. Celebs Share Their Awards Night Style and More at the Gold Meets Golden Pre-Golden Globes Party

On Saturday January 5th tons of celebrities and Olympic athletes gathered at the House on Sunset Blvd for the annual Gold Meets Golden pre-awards party hosted by Nicole Kidman.

The aptly colored gold carpet was filled with celebs like Amy Adams who is up for two nominations tonight, Octavia Spencer, Chrissy Metz, Jessica Chastain and more. Hollywood Glam got exclusive interviews with some of the celebs and athletes in the video below!

The event is held every year to raise awareness for sports related causes bringing together athletes and Hollywood celebrities to kick off awards season!

It was interesting to hear some of the athletes weigh in on LA’s Olympic games coming up in 2028 and you can see more in the video below. Michelle Kwan spoke to Hollywood Glam about her style and showed off her gold detailing on her look to keep with the theme! There were so many great looks and creative styles for the event. Nicole Kidman was wearing a navy-blue military style jacket and carrying a Gucci bag for the cold LA day. Jessica Chastain wore a Burberry set and Amy Adams opted for an all-white dress with a cute matching purse. Octavia Spencer showed up looking chic and laid back in a black suit jacket and Louis Vuitton bag. Grammy Award-winning Artist Bonnie Pointer Performs At The UNLEESHED, a Holiday Mansion Party and Fashion Showcase

The famous Kiss The Monkeys organization founded by Al Harris and Raquel Sanchez hosted the Holiday Celebration and Charity Gala event UNLEESHED right on time: the party took place on December 29 in the historic Wattles Mansion. Guests had a chance to watch numerous fashion shows and enjoy food, drinks, and live music by DJ Al as well as performance by talented Bonnie Pointer of The Pointer Sisters. Bonnie is famous for the song Fairytale which helped the group to win a Grammy. In 1994 The Pointer Sisters received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “It feels great. It’s good to be here For a good cause”, she said to HGM.

The evening ended up with the Model and Fashion Designer competition. Celebrity coach Bobbie Chance and other judges chose a winner – Carolina Hernandez, Mexican-American fashion designer and Creative Director of Veteran Couture. Other designers included One World Peace, Cristina Nelle, David Klein, Quincy Jones Jr and Trisha Sherman.

All proceeds from the event went to Divine Homeless Project.

Modisch and Tay Gaye Present: Mansion Showcase LA

The private mansion event and fashion showcase organized by Modisch and its founder Tay Gaye took place on December 13 in Hollywood Hills. Modisch is a unique clothing line created by African immigrant and Philly-based designer Tay: its fancy and sporty pieces are worn by both ordinary people and celebs like 21 Savage.

The event was a mix of a fashion showcase, art performance and young Hollywood style mansion party. All guests had a chance to see how the designer was making a hoodie from scratch. After the hoodie was sewed, artist John Born painted a picture right on it to make it look even better.

HGM talked to Tay Gaye about his career and clothing line: “I was born and raised in Liberia that’s where I started making clothes, in Africa, when I was seven. My Dad passed away but, in the village, where I’m from, he was a popular designer. When he passed, my older sister took over the business: she opened a tailor shop, and as a kid growing up that’s where I used to be every day…

When I moved to the US in 2000, I was trying to figure my way around, it was very difficult because I didn’t really know anyone here, it was just me, my older sister and my cousin.

When I was in school, we had so many classes, and I was that one person who was making clothes, and it was shocking for many people that a kid of my age could make that stuff from scratch. I even told my teachers how to do certain things. I started making clothes for my close friends. At the end of high school, I started making my own jeans and I had my own brand. I had a son and took a break from college, that’s when I started Modisch. Modisch means fashion in German. I got a graphic designer to put a logo together, I started t-shirts: I was doing animal prints, and at that time animal print was popular and a lot of brands would use animal print. I was one of the first brands doing this, and I had celebrities like French Montana buying my staff. Basically, this is how I built my brand. I do show cases like this one to show people how to really do this just for people to believe when I am doing this, I put my heart and passion”.

This year, a social campaign 09.To the Birth of Fashion took place during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia in collaboration with Russia’s Ministry of Health. The point of the campaign was to show that baby expecting is a joyful but difficult period for any woman, when she wants to be stylish, modern, and elegant – and she can.

Maternity fashion is a special category of clothing, and to create it designers need to understand women’s anatomic and psychological features. 09.To the Birth of Fashion has proven that Russian designers know how to make perfect silhouettes for expectant women.

“What makes women beautiful and makes them smile at their reflection? Stylish and trendy clothes that Russian designers have presented today. Expecting a baby is one of the most important periods in every woman’s life. During MBFW Russia, we’ve seen that these two things can provide a perfect combination, making moms-to-be endlessly trendy and pretty,” said Oleg Salagay, Deputy Minister for Health in the Russian Federation.

The project was participated by 12 designers who created unique looks for moms-to-be.

The designer that has managed to come to the top only in merely two years, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and Central Saint Martins, says, “Fashion is great because it can bring up socially relevant issues and catch the interest of the unconcerned audience. There were several important reasons for me to take a pregnant model to the catwalk under the inspiring project 09.To the Birth of Fashion. Firstly, I wanted to tell hundreds of girls that pregnancy is rewarding, it is a thrill, a kick, not a stop. As a mom, I know that for sure and can hardly imagine my life without my lovely daughter Sasha. When expecting, you can develop, discover new horizons, feel the world instead of hiding at home and getting out only to see a doctor. It is time for experiments! Secondly, I wanted to show that maternity clothing can be most trendy – feminine, cool, and elegant, like ours at Yasya Minochkina.”

Famous model, presenter and designer, Miss Russia and Miss Universe, says, “I decided to join the project because this theme is most congenial for me. I started working on my first collection while expecting. When they offered me to create such a look, I was delighted. This was when my fashion and my carrier of a fashion designer came to life. For 09.To the Birth of Fashion, we made a tailed evening gown, a part of our collection LIKE A MOVIE. Our maternity look refers to the aesthetics of the 80s, when you were good while you were bright. The gown doesn’t conceal pregnancy, but brings it into focus. I wanted to show that pregnancy is a great period. The model was the last to appear at the catwalk to create a highlight of the collection.”

Celebs Perform Christmas Carols and More at the Hollywood Christmas Parade

The Hollywood Christmas Parade on Sunday November 25th kicked off the Holiday Season for LA with celebrity performances and beautifully decorated floats as well as a star studded red carpet. The parade route ran along the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame and the night kicked off with an amazing concert set up in front of the famous TCL Chinese theater.

The crowd enjoyed performances from singers in all genres including country artist Clare Dunn and pop sensation Ashanti.
On the red carpet Casey Kimberly Caldwell Harvey from American Idol gave an exclusive interview to Hollywood Glam before heading to the stage to perform Christmas carols for the crowd. She said, “I’m excited to see all my idol friends and so happy to be here. My daughter and my husband are gonna be riding on the float with me today.”

Other celeb appearances included Ernie Hudson, David Archuleta, Mikalah Gordon, and more.

Clare Dunn performed a beautiful version of Silent Night and also premiered her brand-new song “Tuxedo” for the audience. The excited parade attendees were also treated to a magic show by Ed Alonzo.

Next David Arhculeta gave a great show singing several Christmas classics. Finally, Ashanti performed “Santa Baby” with her signature pop flare. The parade kicked off with the Marines Marching Band of San Diego. The parade was also a great opportunity to get into the spirit of the season by giving to the Toys for Tots charity. First Sargeant Bill Holodnak, and Lt. General Pete Osman President and CEO in charge of the Marines Toys for Tots foundation also attended the parade as Santa’s official escorts. Santa spoke to Hollywood Glam Magazine as well saying, “This is a wonderful time of year not only for getting gifts but for giving and you can make a wonderful difference in a child’s life by donating to Toys for Tots.”

The parade also included floats with characters from Charlie Brown and more fun Christmas themed celebs. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful floats and the weather was perfect for enjoying the events along the boulevard.
