About designers:

Amato Couture : REV 21:8 Collection

Amato leaves behind the innocent and girlish pastel coloured frocks of last season’s Amato Pret-A- Porter debut. This season, Amato will enter the dark side
with its sexy, provocative and dangerous serpentine gowns, distressed laces and leather accents. The collection will gravitate towards the elements of mysticism, astrology and mysteries of the unknown

Michael Ngo: NΞOKOZM Fall/Winter 16/17 Runway Collection

LA-based Pop Culture designer MICHAEL NGO returns to LA Fashion Week to debut his newest body of work “NΞOKOZM FW16/17” the follow-up collection to last year’s highly acclaimed “Sovereigns of the Sea SS16”.

After months of preparation and revisions, the anticipated collection is set to hit the runway with special guests during the opening night of Art Hearts Fashion and is sure to deliver the drama and the artistry that MICHAEL NGO has become known for.

NΞOKOZM is inspired by the idea of a “new world” and “neo-futurism” where society is in the endless rush to predict the future, that it’s easy to forget that we are the ones shaping it. Technology comes to mind first, but the future is in us and how we battle social tribulations in order to coexist on this troubled planet. In order to survive and progress, humanity must reach a new level of awakening.

The collection’s symbol is the “Neo-Lotus” and it’s “no mud no lotus” coming of age represents that new awakening. The lotus is rooted in the deepest of muddied water, but it rises from the darkness to bloom in its purest awakened form. Like mud, pain and suffering is crucial to the journey of life and just like a the lotus blooming, we need those dark times to rise, to grow, and to find future enlightenment. As the designer revealed to HGM, the whole collection was inspired by lotus, and the idea behind it was “turning negative energy into positive”.

The urban luxe FW16/17 ready-to-wear collection embodies Western streetwear couture infused with Eastern and cultural influences and will showcase interchangeable womenswear and menswear. Collection design details include mixed media fabrication, textile manipulation, hardware & embellishments, patent & metallic accents, and universal silhouettes.

With every single seam stitched and constructed by the designer himself, as well as runway direction, soundtrack, video and styling, MICHAEL NGO continues to breathe his artistry & aesthetic into his work which ultimately tells a complete story from the designer’s point of view.

The special opening night of Art Hearts Fashion featuring The Archive Showroom will be the platform for Michael Ngo to bring NΞOKOZM FW16 to life and to share his vision with the world.

Gliding down the catwalk one after another,  Hesan’s full-skirted sparklers have been the designer’s specialty for some time — Imagine yourself in a faraway kingdom waiting for your prince charming to sweep you off your feet, or that glamourous goddess who makes a statement at that special event.  Rahil Hesan takes you there this season. Expect to be amazed with blush-toned tulle and crinoline, embellished 3-D floral embroidery, sequined hearts, stars, and  crystal detailing bound to put a smile on everyone’s face.  Hesan doesn’t forget to bring sexy to the catwalk as well with all her stunning creations by incorporating exciting high slits, plunging décolleté, asymmetric hip swags, and sexy bare backs. Designer Rocky Gathercole Rocks Hollywood

0

October 12th, 2016, The Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills

By Cristina Burlacu

Avant-Garde designer Rocky Gathercole rocks Hollywood. That was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw his runway show during Art Hearts Fashion Week founded by designer Erik Rosete (Mister Triple X). I was watching the models walking the runway like a little girl who was staring at beautiful dolls. This talented designer is a true artist; his bright clothes are full of life and energy.

Now I can understand why he has so many celebrities like Katy Perry and Paris Hilton wearing his pieces.  His creations are all about “Be bold or go home”.

It is hard to not relate his work to some maleficent personalities because of shapes and colors. But that’s not a bad thing; it’s just a personal way of seeing the world. If something looks weird to you, it’s all about your own perception.

Of course, the designer also has “less provocative” dresses, still very remarkable and full of mystery. As a wonder woman you have to have a taste for Gathercole’s creations. It always takes courage to be different.

Rocky is considered an Avant-Garde designer, and his unique collections can transform each ground in a kind of mystical and fantastic phenomenon.  Rocky could be a perfect designer having his pieces shown in a mystery movie, drama or a blockbuster.  Some people might think his design is too weird or too bold, just remember: Rocky’s clothing lines are not for everyone. He creates the best design in the way he sees it and that’s the proof of authentic love for high fashion.

In Moldova I worked as a TV journalist, but I’ve been always dreaming about discovering the whole world.”

FENTY PUMA BY RIHANNA Reveals Spring/Summer ‘17 First Looks In Paris

Rihanna Challenges the Beauty of the 18th century with a Modern, Sporty and Sexy Sensibility

Paris, France (September 29, 2016) – Last night, Rihanna, and global athletic brand PUMA, showed the fashion community the Spring/Summer 2017 FENTY PUMA by Rihanna Collection. The collection, available at retail next spring, takes inspiration from 18th century France during the time period of Louis XVI and fuses it with a street style vibe. In front of an intimate audience in the beautiful salons of Hotel Saloman de Rothschild and worldwide via the TIDAL X: RIHANNA livestream, guests and fans took in the exquisiteness and the edge of FENTY PUMA by Rihanna. Fresh, sporty, and ethereal, the FENTY PUMA by RIHANNA Spring/Summer 2017 is sure to shake up the fashion community once again. ‎

“I am really excited about this collection as its very fun and light.  Showing in Paris was the perfect backdrop as I pulled a lot of inspiration from France, Marie Antoinette and The Palace of Versailles specifically,” said Creative Director Rihanna. “Mixing athletic wear with regal touches was a challenge and I hope everyone loves the results.  I cannot wait to wear this collection.”

In the spirit of Paris Fashion Week, this season’s FENTY collection interprets the romance and grandeur of French culture with a delicate color palette, luxurious fabrics, intricate ruffles and pleating, and playful bows and ties. Rihanna stayed true to PUMA’s sport heritage by reimagining and transforming traditional track suits, boxing robes, tennis dresses and polos.  The collection continues to play with exaggerated and oversized shapes, while soft pinks, lavenders, and nudes compliment and contrast hard, edgy, sporty looks in olive and rich brown. The collection, designed for both men and women in mind, includes tiered jackets, in a lightweight onion skin fabric, embroidered tricot track dresses and suits, and jacquard pieces uniquely featuring the signature PUMA cat in a custom FENTY floral motif.

Accessories bring out the feminine yet masculine juxtaposition of the 18th century with the Lace Mesh PUMA Cat Choker, the Bow Bag and the Lace Roll down bag (with a unique neck choker). The everyday baseball cap is no more as the FENTY PUMA by Rihanna hats feature engineered mesh, sneaker lace accents, PUMA cat lace masks, satin bandanas and oversized visors.

The collection wouldn’t be complete without shoes. Rihanna updates the iconic FENTY Sneaker Heel from Autumn Winter ‘16 with three new styles including a Slingback Sneaker Heel that artistically and practically uses PUMA’s signature formstripe as the strap. New shoes such as the Bow Sneaker express a fusion of sport and fashion. The Slide returns in two new executions: in Jelly and with a bow. Finally, Rihanna brings aggressive, new sneaker boots to round out the footwear range.

FENTY’s signature branding and design elements are consistent with the creative director’s first collection. From lucky number 13 to the piercing zipper puller, Rihanna’s branding vision stays true.

The Spring/Summer 2017 presentation was styled by Tom Van Dorpe of Management + Artists. Makeup provided by SEPHORA, led by SEPHORA PRO Myiesha Sewell. Hair styled and sponsored by Oribe Hair Care, led by Yusef Williams of Factory Downtown. Nail design and execution by Young Nails. Jewelry by Lynn Ban. Champagne for the evening was elegantly presented by Champagne Armand de Brignac from rare, jeroboam bottles.

In addition to the fashion community in Paris, the world had the pleasure of sitting front row of the presentation via the global music and entertainment platform, Tidal. To relive the experience, fans can watch the presentation for the next 24 hours on FENTY.TIDAL.COM or embed the livestream using this code: http://tdl.sh/tidalxfenty.

“It’s great to have the opportunity once more to show the world what everyone really knows, that I am the true inspiration for David Beckham’s style. He copies everything from me,” says Kevin Hart.

The new campaign follows David and Kevin on a road trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, supposedly to meet financiers for a new Vegas musical. Along the way, Kevin’s commitment to his role as David gets even more extreme. For the campaign, David and Kevin wear two looks from the collection: a zip-up flying jacket with fake fur collar worn with a turtleneck, and a block stripe knit sweater.

“David and Kevin look so sharp in the campaign. Modern Essentials is a collection for men to have great personal style no matter where they find themselves. The flying jacket and stripe sweater are new wardrobe essentials for men all round the world,” says Andreas Löwenstam, H&M Head of Design Menswear.

The campaign was once again directed by Fredrik Bond, responsible for the last two David Beckham commercials for H&M. It was filmed outside of Los Angeles in May, with David sharing on an on-set image on Instagram to reveal his new campaign with Kevin.

The autumn/winter 16 Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham collection will be available in every H&M store that carries menswear, as well as online, from September 29.
