Art Hearts Fashion Dominates Miami Swim Week for a Great Cause!

Art Hearts Fashion kicked off Miami swim week with amazing talent for a great cause at the FUNKSHION tent. The highly anticipated runway shows featured collections of both nationally and internationally acclaimed designers. The 7pm presentation opened with Just Bones Boardwear featuring their Ocean Collection with the brands signature board shorts and sexy bikinis, followed by the debut of Du Aqua Swimwear by Veronica Valle, a luxury resort collection. The evening heated up with a fiery presentation by Cirone Swim. California favorite, celebrity designer Courtney Allegra showcased her fun and flirty bikinis at the finale of the 7pm presentation.

The 9pm showcase opened with a Havana themed runway show by international resort brand Hale Bob, followed by a sexy men’s resort/swim collection by Argyle Grant. Celebrity designer Mister Triple X spiced things up with “BANDITS”, a sexy swim and resort presentation highlighted by the brands signature edge and cool shades by Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. sunglasses and shoes by Alejnadra G. The grand finale was held by none other than couture designer Rocky Gathercole showcasing his latest bikini and resort couture creations.

Following the runway shows, over 2000 swim week guests joined the gang of Art Hearts Fashion at their Gala and swim week party hosted by world famous LIV Nightclub.  The event presented by Just Dance featured fashion shows by Hale Bob, Mister Triple X, Just Bones Boardwear, Courtney Allegra and Cirone Swim during a performance by DJ Shaun Frank.

On Saturday July 16th Art Hearts Fashion continued its series of presentations at W Hotel South Beach’s Lycra Swim Salon presented by Planet Fashion TV. Designers included Koco Blaq, Bella Mar Swimwear, Mister Triple X “Wild Things” and Yas Couture by Elie Madi. Official Eyewear sponsor L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani provided the finishing touches for both Koco Blaq and Mister Triple X.

LA Swim Week 2016: A Dive into Fashion

On July 19th Skirball Cultural Center became a mecca for fashionistas, designers, models, media and everyone who came to learn more about the best in swimwear, beauty, and health. The organizers, designer Connie Borja and Johnny Satta, welcomed everyone including American actor Esai Morales at the red carpet that started at 6 PM. Buyers and fashion bloggers had a chance to visit a pop-up shop with numerous brands introducing swimwear and beauty products. Designers Monique Dep (Versa Swimwear) who will be presenting her new swim line at Unici Casa on July 23rd and designer Eva Hubenakova Boyd (Evae Evae) showcased signature collections and products at their booths.

Hosted by actor and model Torrey Gambill and Miss Guatemala USA Stephanie Sical Salazar the runway started at 8 PM with beautiful model and actress Dustin Quick and her husband and talented musician Medi Em sharing their new song with the audience. Not to mention, Dustin surprised everyone with amazing dance performance.

This year LA Swim introduced 10 designers total (both local and international): Duskii, BeachFlirt22, Lady Swim by Yogii, Palo Rosa Beachwear, Paulette Swimwear, The 8th Continent by Suki Sun, Nessy Swimwear, Glam Clothing, Leonisa, and Amour by Connie Borja. Models Dustin Quick and Ava Capra (America’s Next Top Model) got everyone’s attention during the show. This year the designers presented collections of bikinis and one piece swimsuits in all different colors from white, gold to turquoise. Floral prints and color mixing is still on trend.

It was also great to see some gorgeous pageant winners gracefully walking down the runway during the night (thanks to Virgelia Productions).

The winners will be announced at MFW’s final event, the Closing Gala and Fashion Awards, on Saturday, October 1 at Warner Bros. Studios. The Metropolitan Fashion Awards of Excellence categories include Costume Designer of the Year (Motion Pictures), Costume Designer of the Year (TV), Costume Designer of the Year (Live Performance), Celebrity Stylist of the Year, Fashion Program of the Year, Fashion Commentator of the Year, Fashion Blogger of the Year, Outstanding Ensemble for Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists and Lifetime Achievement Award.

Metropolitan Fashion Week will be honoring Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas as the recipient of the 2016 Metropolitan Fashion Excellence Award.

Hot-As-Hell Rakes High Praise at Runway Show, ‘Le Jardin de HAH’

Miami, Fla (July 15, 2016) – South Beach, truly HAHt-As-Hell as we officially kick off the weekend, drew celebrities, tastemakers, major media and buyers to SWIMMIAMI’s pop up LYCRA Swim Salon at the W Hotel & Residences. HAH | Hot-As-Hell launched just last season and the 2017 runway collection, ‘Le Jardin de HAH’ proves the trailblazer in eco-conscious swimwear is nothing but booming.

Ballerinas, moms and kids, oh my! Kicked off with an unreal performance of Fever by Caroline Vreeland this season, Hot-As-Hell expanded from swim, lingerie and beach lifestyle apparel into childrenswear, maternity and bridal. Dainty pastel lace contrasted by radiant sunshine tones floated along the runway to the sounds of Beyonce’s Lemondade poetry.

HAH’s Spring 2017 collection was inspired by the origins of natural beauty – mother earth. Le Jardin de HAH is symbolic of the brand’s roots in natural, ethical product for women. LOS ANGELES, CA – The Academy celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Academy Film Archive with the screening series “Archival Revival – 25 years of the Academy Film Archive,” curated from the extensive, diverse collection of motion pictures that the archive has restored and preserved. The series, which runs from July 18 through September 12, will showcase a broad range of titles – musicals, documentaries, silent films, Pre-Code comedies, experimental films and horror classics.

In 1991 the Academy’s Board of Governors made a commitment to create a world-class archive for the preservation, restoration, documentation and study of motion pictures. The Academy Film Archive currently holds more than 190,000 elements, including trailers, feature films, and the film collections of such artists as Alfred Hitchcock, Penelope Spheeris, James Wong Howe, Albert Maysles and Su Friedrich. It also holds the collections of such institutions and programs as the Japanese American National Museum, Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival and the Student Academy Awards®.

West Hollywood CURE Salon & Spa Celebrates Night of Fun

On July 14th West Hollywood Lifestyle Magazine, CURE Salon & Spa and the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce invited guests and media to celebrate Night of Fun at CURE Salon & Spa located at 8358 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, right inside the legendary Sunset Tower Hotel.

Everyone could enjoy the star studded red carpet event, hors d’oeuvres, champagne, complimentary massage and even a guided tour inside the spa that ended up with the salon management providing guests with nice gift bags. The City of West Hollywood Mayor Lauren Meister, President and CEO of West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Genevieve Morrill, CEO and Founder of CURE Salon and Spa Dr. Lisa Benya and  Mr Michael McCauley joined the Ribbon Cutting ceremony later that day. Dr Benya already opened a salon in Malibu, and now she is ready to offer upscale medical, cosmetic, and spa experience to West Hollywood clientele as well. We talked to Lisa and Mr McCauley about their story of success:

HGM: It is nice to finally meet you! How did you come up with the idea to open this beautiful place?

Dr Benya: We have a salon & spa over in Malibu, we opened it a few years ago in order to help people with medical conditions using spa staff, and it just became a big entity, so we want to spread love in West Hollywood.

HGM: What kind of services do you provide?

Mr McCauley: We have a hair salon, spa services, Med-Spa services, facials, all types of injectables…

HGM: I’ve noticed you have all different kinds of suites downstairs where people can relax and enjoy their time here…

On July 9th Los Angeles celebrated probably the biggest American makeup and beauty festival called Beautycon. Host Jeannie Mai, celebrities like Tyra Banks, Kelly Rowland, Christina Millian, and Ashley Tisdale joined over 15 thousand guests including the most influential fashion/beauty bloggers and vloggers to talk about what’s hot this summer. The weekend long Festival included a Breakfast with Tyra Banks and an Intimate Group of Content Creators, Sofia Vergara Giving Content Creators & The Grove Kickoff Party. During the event top content creators mingled with their fans including Kandee Johnson, Gigi Gorgeous, JACK & JACK, just to name a few.
