On Wednesday night Hollywood’s most trendy celebrities turned out for the 15th annual Global Green pre-Oscars gala. The green carpet welcomed celebrities decked out in the color of the evening, Green! Guests were honored for their work and initiatives in preserving the environment. Celebrities of all ages turned out for the night in support of the cause and while young celebrities felt a responsibility to make their generation aware, older guests wanted to leave a better home for their children. Some of the names on the red carpet included, Hannah Zeile of NBC’s This is US, Modern Family’s Ed O’Neil, Laura Marano a of Austin and Ally, Lizzy Green and many more.
Lizzy Green who plays Dawn on Nickelodeon’s Nicky Ricky Dicky and Dawn, told Hollywood glam about her look and showed off her Christian Louboutin heels. “This is actually the first time I’ve ever worn Louboutins now I can sing the Cardi B song these are red bottoms…” she said excitedly as she spun around in the shoes. Her dress was also on theme with the night with some floral accents and the pink definitely looked great on the actress! She was also excited for her nomination at the upcoming Kids Choice Awards and shared her anticipation. As for how she likes to stay green Lizzy told Hollywood Glam she stays away from cruelty-free makeup and loves to find fun and fashionable sustainable clothing brands.
Hannah Zeile of NBC’s latest TV hit This is Us, hit the red carpet in an eye-catching red gown which she shared was actually one of her SAG award options. The actress said she was happy to get to wear the piece after all and looked fabulous in the bouncy ruffles. According to Zeile on the night of the SAG awards the cast was so happy she and some of the other actors decided to go to IHOP in “full SAG attire” getting stares from other diners in their black-tie outfits. Speaking of the show’s success Zeile shared her excitement to be part of such a powerful show.
She said, “It’s all so surreal to me, doing a show that’s so emotional and getting to do such important work I feel blessed.”
Ed O’Neil of Modern Family appeared with his wife and spoke about the importance of raising awareness for climate change issues. He said, “We’re here because we have kids” and many of the other celebrity parents echoed the same sentiment throughout the night.
Other celebrity appearances included Charlotte McKinney, Sharon Lawrence, and Juliann Emory.
Finally, Laura Marano and Calum Wothy of Disney’s hit Austin and Ally showed up together after a recent cast reunion that had Instagram going crazy. According to Calum, the two wore matching monochromatic outfits accidentally as Lauren showed up in a head to toe bright red suit while Calum wore all blue. He said, “Well tonight is about the earth so I had two options either green or blue so I went with blue.”
Laura shared that she wanted to change up her look since she had been attending several events where she wore gowns so she went with the pants suit instead which was just as eye-catching in the bright red color.
The two are both on to exciting new projects and Lauren told Hollywood Glam she is excited to be producing her first ever film. She was also looking forward to attending the Oscars and supporting the film Lady Bird which she worked on with a small role. Check out her interview in the video below!
